Designed by the Portuguese architect Joao Castilho, the Manueline Cistern features gigantic arches, columns and pillars, creating an impressive interior. This historic site was even featured in the famous movie “Othello” by Orson Welles.

Next, you'll explore the Portuguese walled city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, located in the heart of El Jadida. Stroll through the charming Old Medina, visit the restored consulate, the beautiful church, and the Jewish mausoleum, while immersing yourself in the city's rich heritage.
